Forres and Findhorn

The Royal Burgh of Forres is a beautiful small town steeped in history. A multi award winning town in both Britain and Scotland in Bloom, Forres takes great pride in its fantastic floral displays throughout the town. The most impressive of these lie in the main park of the town, Grant Park, where the floral sculptures attract great attention each year. History plays a large part in the town which once played host to royalty. Suenos stone, a 22 foot high sculpted stone from the Pictish era, is the largest of its kind in the world. Local legend says that the stone marks the crossroads where Macbeth met the three witches who were eventually imprisoned within the stone. If the stone were ever to be broken the witches would escape.

The picturesque coastal village of Findhorn is approximately six miles away.

The beach stretches all the way to Burghead passing the stunning Roseisle forest. From Findhorn bay seals and the occasional dolphin can be seen. A perfect place to relax and spend the day on the beach with fish and chips or enjoying a pub meal in one of the fantastic local pubs.
